Welcome December and Holiday Patterns!

Reflecting on 2020
Here we are welcoming December. It’s been a year. It’s the year that lipstick wasn’t necessary, and lapses in coloring and cutting had everyone sporting a new hairstyle, COVID HAIR.
As hard as this year has been, I can honestly say that our family is blessed. WE are all healthy! There is a lot to be said for that. We are bored, we are sad, missing everyone and craving adventures, but the fact that we are living and healthy goes a long way. Yet, we are bored. I had to say it twice, because it is 2020 after all.
As a surface pattern designer, moods can really affect your work. When you aren’t feeling jolly it’s really difficult to create happy and joyous artwork. The pandemic has presented itself as a worthy rival to both Holiday and Christmas artwork. It’s the GRINCH and the BOOGEYMAN all rolled up into one grotesque package that I have so far successfully pushed to the side, while creating this year.
By doing so I have created 4 holiday mini collections:
Holiday Village
Hog Wild Holiday
Santa and Gang
Wrapping Elves
Happy Holidays!
As we all move through this December staying socially distanced and hopefully staying healthy- I hope you find joy and happiness with your families, no matter how small your bubble may be.
See you in the new year!
